Can Home Depot/Lowe's Help Me Cut Wood to a Desired Size?

Can Home Depot/Lowe's help me cut wood to a desired size?

Lowe's can but there are some differences between each store. Some will charge after the 3rd cut. Typically,it is $0.50 for each additional cut. Some do not go past the third cut because they have a store level policy to not do project cuts. One thing to remember that those saws are rough cut saws. They keep rough cut blades on them that are not meant to make smooth cuts. The main purpose of that saw is to cut lumber so that you can fit it in your car, not to do the bulk of your project up for you. Also, they are supposed to have a sign up that only guarantees the cuts to be accurate to about half an inch. Half of an inch might as well be a mile when you are trying to fit woodworking projects together.I would also advise to never have them cut premium lumber on it(ie, oak, poplar, etc) because you will not be happy with the edges. Like I said, the blade is a rough cut blade and typically old and dull. My experience is that I worked 11 years in the company and over 6 years of that was managing the lumber area. Two more years were managing as an assistant store manager that worked with customer complaints about the saw.If you do get them to cut up your project, be patient and respectful, you will get better cuts that way.

low fat, low carb eggplant parm recipe please?

Well, unless you do not use the bread crumbs or not much cheese, I can not think of anything else that makes it low fat/low carb, but then that's not gonna be the real delicious eggplant parmesan. ///

Mount Lowe (California)

Mount Lowe is a mountain on the southern fold of the San Gabriel Mountains. Originally named Oak Mountain, it was renamed for Professor Thaddeus S.C. Lowe, who is credited for being the first person to set foot on and plant the American flag at its peak, and who built the Mount Lowe Railway to its foot in 1896. The record of the naming was made official by Andrew McNally, the famous Chicago map printer and summertime resident of Altadena, who promised to print "Mount Lowe" on all his maps. Mt. Lowe was established as an alternate route for the Mount Lowe Railway when attempts to procure rights of way to the more prominent Mount Wilson had failed. A number of trails stem from it due to the Mount Lowe Tavern which was built at Crystal Springs below the summit and operated from 1895 to 1936. One of the historic trails was the "Mount Lowe Eight" which was a mule ride attraction of the hotel that made a figure eight shaped route starting at the Tavern, ascending the summit of Mt. Lowe, returning to the Tavern, and crisscrossing to a trail that headed down Castle Canyon. From there the trail passed down to the Echo Mountain resort and ascended on the return to the Tavern. Mount Lowe was the upper terminus of the Alpine Division of the Mount Lowe Railway originally incorporated by Professor Lowe as the Pasadena and Mt. Wilson Railroad Co. Mt. Lowe is approachable from Echo Mountain or Chaney trail via a fire road which was graded over the old railway right-of-way.
