Why Are Clothes Made in LEDC's (Less Economically Developed Countries)? 1

Developing countries are in general countries which have not achieved a significant degree of industrialization relative to their populations, and which have, in most cases a medium to low standard of living. There is a strong correlation between low income and high population growth.... Though mechanization transformed most aspects of human industry by the mid 20th century, garment workers have continued to labor under challenging conditions which demand repetitive manual labor. Mass-produced clothing is often made in what are considered by some to be sweatshops, typified by long work hours, lack of benefits, and lack of worker representation.... Also...Developed countries are very lazy XD and they use machines for production...But some LEDC are very poor that they do not have the capability to use machines and so they use hand woven or machine sewed clothes......U know...The clothes which are hand sewed are majorly purchased by rich people and all over the world as it produces efficient clothes, variety and trustworthy too...So eventually cloth mills run down as people prefer them...They are cheap too... People generally set these here because of the factors of LEDC...Cheap labor and efficient ones....People are willing to work...AND LEDC are generally poor to utilize the resources around them...So these guys will Seize their resources like wool this that...and they use it...They do not need machines now and so no maintenance costs for these things...U cant trust electricity and machines may run down...So Hand laborers are used here.... I hope it helps [:

What do the US and developed countries think about Pakistan? What comes to mind when you hear the word u201cPakistanu201d?

I doubt most Americans know much about Pakistan. Some folks into firearms are aware there's a valley between Pakistan and Afghanistan where they make quaint firearms and there are tribal areas that are no go areas for government officials but that's about it. In the 1970's some might have been aware of a war involving Bengledash, India and Pakistan. The only dealing I had with Pakistanis was with Army Officers, three times within eight years. When I was a Marine in Ft. Eustis, VA, a Pakistani Army doctor looked at my foot, as I would an infection, when I was in Panama, as an Army Officer, there was a Pakistanis Army Officer, I think the equiv of a Major accompanying the US Army and we had a few conversations, which were surprisingly regular, he would more of an American accent than the anticipated British, and after Desert Storm I was training some people to do some things when I wound up with Chicken Pox, and I happened to again be seen by a Pakistani Army Doctor. He was a specialist in tropical diseases. Although I would recently had a physical, he started mentioning things I had, beginning with words to the effect of "You've been Central America, you spent extensive time in the jungle, and were frequently in fresh and brackish water down there. I will leave it at that." He knew to leave anything else out, as it was, after all Womack at Bragg, but it amazed me that how with a glance he was picking up things that were missed by another Doctor's full physical. So basically, my impressions were based on Pakistani military officers, two of the three Doctors. Seemed surprisingly are gular', similar conversations when we had them, and surprisingly informal, more peer to peer although I was only a LT

Why are salaries in Singapore so low as compared to other developed countries?

I assume you are asking about low-wage workers and junior professionals.Singapore as a country is not being mean when businesses pay low wages. We are rooted in reality, because we have to remain competitive. If we paid Yankee prices, then a lot of manufacturing would up & go to nearby Third World countries... hold that thought... oh, look, they just left.Yes, manufacturing took flight about 15 years ago.Singapore competes by being relevant and focusing on high-tech skills in various sectors (medical, legal, technology, etc) that requires skilled labor. Those workers definitely earn more than a "low" salary. In the end, everybody upgrades or gets left behind. That's reality.

Is anyone on Quora willing to argue that the American healthcare system is actually better than those systems used in other developed countries?

The US healthcare system is one of the best of the world. However, access to it is limited depending on your ability to pay. No other Western democracy limits healthcare to those who can afford it, bankruptcy due to Medical bills is unheard of in most countries outside the US. In most countries with universal healthcare you get the tests you need without checking if your insurance will pay for them. in the US system "prevention" is a dirty word after all healthy people do not need medical care. I had a pacemaker implanted to stave off future problems, I'm on medication due to other heart issues. I live in the UK, I know people in the US with the same condition I have who have either died or had their life expectancy shortened because they have not had preventative treatment. With my pacemaker it could extend my life expectancy by 20 years. If they waited until I was symptomatic we are talking maybe 5 years if I am lucky.
