The brown is rust. If you have galvanized plumbing it will just take time. Replacing galvanized plumbing is the only sure way. Replacing heater caused pipes to shed rust. If you have copper plumbing it's from the water supply (city well, or your well)

1) I could not find anything beside looking at Super Pet Assorted Tubes (just look that up on super pet) Then trying to find a space pod to attach. 2)At Petco they have a water bottle that's blue and they also have some that makes it where you can hang the water bottle from the top. But that probably wont work so, I think you should go and ask someone that works at Petco or Petsmart and bring a pic of the cage. 3)You can try with a a different wheel, but with all these complications I think you should consider getting dome like a bin cage, glass aquarium, etc.

do have cold water coming out of both taps or not, if so the element needs to get replaced (electric heater) if u have a gas heater u will have to check to see if ur pilot is lit, if not replace the thurmo coupler, if u have no flow of any water coming out of ur tap on the hot water side, there is a screen on the inlet and outlet of the tank which could be removed, not a di it ur selfer job. You only need to dechlorinate the water, when you add new water to the tank. You are dechlorinating the water out of the tap, and that's assuming you are on a public water supply that uses chlorine and/or chloramines to disinfect the water

Why would a brand new water pump make noise?

Water pump noise is not common but does happen. Steady tone noise is more common such as groans or squeals. Rhythmic noise is less common. There are three rotating parts in a typical engine water pump. Two standard type ball bearings and a spring loaded seal. The seal has flat faces that slide over each other. The seal material is often ceramic. The seal needs to slide smoothly, if there is extra friction a stick-then-slip rhythm can occur, resulting in noise. The spring in the seal can be the driver for the rhythmic nature of the noise. New seals need some run time to burnish and hone the surfaces. Before this they can be noisy and exhibit some seepage. This is what I learned from a pump seal manufacturing representative some time ago

I have a small toilet in the basement that is supposed to be "water efficient." It had a plastic ring around the bottom center--looked like the bottom half of a Hilex jug. The toilet never flushed right so we had to cut that piece out. Toilet uses more water now, but at least it flushes everything down in one flush. Before we removed that piece, we would have to flush twice. Be careful what you buy

Yes. You need to add enough dechlorinator for the amount of new water you are adding (not for the whole volume of the tank). You can either mix the dechlorinator into the new water before you put the new water in the tank, or just add the dechlorinator to the tank and then pour the new water in. I've done it both ways (many times each way), and I've seen no difference in the results. Edit: Just letting water sit does NOT necessarily remove chlorine, and it will never remove chloramine, which is now used in tap water more often than free chlorine is.
