During her adolescence, Hony began her career as an announcer on several Dominican FM stations such as Rumba FM, Cadena Espacial, Nen and Viva FM (now Fidelity). On July 5, 2017, an eight-minute fan-made remix of "Plastic Love" was uploaded to YouTube by a user known as "Plastic Lover". The video showed a cropped version of the cover of Takeuchi's earlier single "Sweetest Music", taken by Los Angeles-based photographer Alan Levenson. Coinciding with the vaporwave genre's rise in popularity, the video spread rapidly throughout YouTube through the platform's recommendations algorithm. Its spread was also aided by internet memes, discussions on Reddit, and fan art of the "Sweetest Music" cover on platforms such as DeviantArt. The video garnered 24 million views before being taken down for a copyright dispute with Levenson, but was then restored in 2019 with credit given to Levenson in the video description.

Ibrahim Hussein Zaki is a politician of the Maldives and the special envoy to the President of the Maldives.

Zaki is a former Cabinet Minister of the Maldives government. He also served as the Secretary General of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC).

In November 2006, Zaki, then acting President of the MDP, was arrested for "inciting enmity against the lawful government".

In November 2012, Zaki and his son Mohamed Hamdan Zaki were among the arrested in Hondaidhoo Island in the Maldives along with two other Members of Parliament, in an alcohol and drug related bust. Mohammed Nasheed was allegedly expected to join them as well but cancelled his plans at the last minute.

Mr. Zaki was captured in a military operation and was suffered a heavy assault on the beach, to a point which caused him permanent damage. The task of escorting Zaki and his wife away from danger fell upon their then 16 year old grand daughter who took them to Sri Lanka, where he would get initial treatment for the injuries sustained. Early signs of brain trauma were visible in his suddenly erratic and controlling behaviour, he refused to continue treatment at any hospital and shortly after was taken to India where he would stay until 12 August 2013. Fresh charges have since been forwarded for prosecution by the Police.

The video was premiered exclusively on HipHopDX.com along with an extensive interview by industry writer Soren Baker. The record affected the community and was featured on Z90.com HotShot section. "Black America" reached over 2.6 million views on WorldStarHipHop.com.

Emerson Windy was invited to perform the record and speak on a panel at the A3C Festival called "Raptivism Is... Transcending Hip Hop Beyond Rap". The panel discussion Takes a look at some of the ways hip hop is returning to its activist roots and how artists, producers and hip hop heads are impacting beyond music. On March 24th, 2015 Emerson Windy released his third single "Poppin'" from Herojuana. The Oceanside, CA native visited his hometown for the video shoot and with Yellow One Productions, he was able to capture the essence of The O. Poppin' video premiered on WorldStarHipHop where it reached nearly 2.5 million views within 24 hours.
