So What Are Your Opinions on Gaming Nowadays ?

OMG such a good question! Where do i start?? Gaming nowadays has changed dramatically over the years. - Graphics - Game-play - Multiplayer aspect For previous generations gaming consisted of side viewed levels and blocks for characters - (Example Mario) However some of the best (classics) and well ground breaking games are found on the older generations of gaming consoles. - Mario party - Zelda - Space invaders ^^ Those games had a HUGE impact on gaming. Those games changed the course of gaming and set the horizon for future games of today. My gaming experience began with the SUPER Nintendo console. Some of the games i would play with my sister where; - Donkey Kong series - Fox (Flying game) - And plenty of mario I really loved those games, but i was always looking for something more. I knew that graphics of games had to be able to get better. Im kind of a graphics enthusiast. So games without decent graphics simply dont appeal to me. Apart from the classics listed above. Soon the PLAYSTATION 1 came to the market. The playstation 1 being my FIRST owned console caused me to be very attached to it. These were my crash bandicoot days. I remember at one stage i owned every Crash Bandicoot game on the market. (Was very proud) haha. Of course the gameplay aspect changed DRAMATICALLY with the release of this console. Huge advancements in visual affects and a brand new array of games to be tested!! Playstation 2 soon was released, and being a fan of the Playstation 1 i automatically chose to get the PS2. Playstation 2 had the game which i looked forward to the most in my history of gaming. Crash Bandicoot: Wrath of Cortex. And i loved it. The playstation 2 was also the console where i had my first real taste of violence, with GTA: San Andreas (My favorite GTA of ALL-TIME) The price of the Playstation 3 set to $1000 pissed me off so much. Mainly because i almost felt offended in a way. I had bought the first two consoles enthusiastically and was a heavy gamer on both of them, and felt insulted that they repay their loyal customers with an OUTSTANDING price. I made my switch to the XBOX 360, which i have not regretted ONCE. It was my best choice ever. The xbox 360 was the console that changed my gaming habits for ever. No longer was i playing Crash Bandicoot, but i was playing FPS. My first game owned was HALO 3. I was absolutely ADDICTED to this game and played it NON-STOP for about 2 years. Also the general rating of the games i own changed from G and G8 to all M15 AND MA15 except for a few sport game exceptions. During my experience with the xbox 360, i learned a lot about gaming in general. Like what FPS, RPG and tactical gaming is. I am mainly an FPS gamer, like COD, HALO & Battlefield for example. However i also broadened my horizon on the genre of the games i played. I learned what RPG is and learned to love it. I simply think the idea of starting from scratch and exploring a HUGE world awesome. - Morowind - Oblivion - Fallout 3 - Fallout: New Vegas - Soon to be Skyrim (Very excited) So even though i really enjoy some old school games, and am very happy with where gaming how gone nowadays. I enjoy the incredible visual effects, fantastic story-lines and creativeness of games which are somewhat abstract. Like boarderlands and Prince of persia with their cartoon like graphics. It gives the gaming community to witness what games can be like. Which i think is great, and well done to those game developers who are not afraid to try something new. Answering question 2 I enjoy today's gaming, because of the graphics and the Multiplayer aspect of gaming, which was not seen much with older gaming. Playing your favorite games while socializing with friends is the best thing that's happened to gaming in my opinion. If by 'favorite franchise' you mean favorite gaming console, i would say the Playstation 2, because it was a huge jump forward in gaming technology. But i will definitely say that xbox 360 is the best console franchise on the market. It delivers AWESOME online features (Xbox live is amazing) and the XBOX ONLY games make owning the console that much better! HOPE THIS ANSWERS YOUR QUESTION! (I had so much fun writing this haha)

1. Why are gaming laptops more expensive than gaming consoles?

Laptops are computers that can do anything a computer can do. Gaming consoles can only play games

2. Will the Apple TV eventually replace the various gaming consoles so that I can play all games on one device?

My opinion, not a chance. There's too many competitive mediums around and individual preferences exist for everyone. I, for example, am a member of the high performance PC master race, and would sooner gnaw my arm off than play games on Apple TV, but that's me. :)

3. What has better gaming consoles, Microsoft or Sony?

They are both the same underpowered yet overpriced plastic boxes of which the difference in performance is so small it can be ignored.Xbox: huge gamelibrary and backwards compatibility meaning you can play older games on the console. you can change your username. also very safe and stable servers.PS4: Not that big gime library. a few exclusives which are not worth the money and no backwards compatibility. you cant change your username and the servers have been hacked multiple times. one time even for months on end causing many users to lose their accounts and money.PC: Glorious masterrace which ascends above the peasantry while laughing at those little boxes.
