Blue Jay Manager and Coaching Staff fired. Was this the right move??

I think they needed to shake up the clubhouse. The hitting coach for this season was a cast away from the Yankee organization that had never really done anything. Any change in philosophy or approach can in no way hurt the under performing lineup. As for firing Gibby, who has been a stand up guy with his time with the Jays, the Jays made the correct choice. Great guy, with either a knack for bad luck with pitching changes, or an inability to interpret a game. Hopefully Cito can bring back the magic. You are probably right about JP though. I believed in him for a long time, but this past off season was a night mare.

Disagree. You are falling into the fallacy that a lot of fans of struggling teams fall into. You are blaming the team's failure on your best players. The Blue Jays are not losing because of Encarnacion and Bautista, far from it. Those guys are keeping the Blue Jays from losing even more. The Blue Jays are losing because their pitchers are all having an off-season, because key players like Jose Reyes have been hurt, and because outside of the big names on the roster, the rest of the team is not any good. Anytime the Blue Jays go to their bench, they are putting in an inferior player who can not compete in the AL East. The other teams in the division have much better players backing up their starters. If the Blue Jays tried to get rid of Bautista tomorrow, every other team in baseball would be interested in acquiring him.
