i has a similar problem. it ended up being the cat litter brand. if you cat try using Tidy Cats cat litter. get rid of the litter box you have now. also was the floor under and around the box and do the walls as well. if the problem still exists ur cat food be be infested with something and ur cat is digesting it in the box. (this was the problem about 6 years ago with my grandmas cat) you might want to talk to a vet in a week or so if you cant rid the bugs. best of luck
