i get 10 to 20 haircuts from clippers so it works out a cheap way to cut hair & i do it myself on a #2 blade

Then buy shaving cream and disposable razors. Get a hand held mirror.so you can see what you are doing back there. get a hot shower and lather up all you head. Let the cream seat for a few minutes and start shaving carefully all over your scalp preferably against the grain. Rub your hand all over your scalp to find any imperfection and correct them right away. Apply good moisturizer and that's it you are bald for about $30.00. If you plan to shave on a regular basis you will have to invest in a good quality hair clipper.

Well, i would wait. I shave my Shih Tzu and trust me, it take lots of time and practice. The first few times I did his hair, it looked like he got into a fight with a lawn mower and lost. It was not until the 8th or 9th time I did it and it looked decent. Now, I am a pro. Call another groomer into do it. Plus, if you do not have the right clippers, the hair will be harder to cut!

A lot of times the most expensive clippers arent the best for every style. I use the osters which are very expensive for some haircuts, but i use the Whal senior or designer for fades and blowouts, or tapers, because it moves from 0 to a fourth to a half. but remember its not the clipper that makes the cut perfect its the person that knows how to do it.

I've always suffered terribly with my skin after shaving, nothing seemed to help. I wet shave and this would probably cause less irritation. So I stopped shaving completely and used hair clippers instead, but joining the Navy meant I had no option but to be clean shaven everyday. I started doing some research and realised that I had not been shaving correctly. Seems technique is a big factor in reducing irritation. As far as creams go nothing has worked for me at all until I started using a traditional silicone based cream instead of the more modern foams and gels and all that other crap. I use one called "men-u shaving cream" about $17/10 and it's fantastic. It may seem abit steep but it lasts ages. I wont use anything else.
